In addition to your suitcases, you can also check several types of special luggage. These include:

  • Skateboards
  • Bodyboards
  • Skates
  • Balls (deflated)
  • Fishing rods
  • Surfboards
  • Kitesurfing equipment
  • Kick scooters
  • Bowling balls
  • Golf bags and clubs

Remember that the weight of your special baggage is counted with your regular luggage. The total limit is 23 kg per passenger. Anything over this will be subject to an excess baggage fee, in accordance with local legislation.

We are unable to transport this type of equipment, due to air transportation security restrictions. Restrictions are valid for both domestic and international flights.

Some objects are not transported by Azul:

  • Kayaks
  • Hang gliders
  • Large-volume equipment


Azul has the right to refuse any luggage or cargo which it considers may endanger flight safety, either by size, weight or type that prevents it from being transported on aircraft. This may include bulky sports equipment and musical instruments, or anything that cannot be carried in the hold of the aircraft.
