Carry-on bag

It’s the one that doesn’t need to be checked, and that can be taken to the cabin without paying for any fare. For these, there are some rules: the weight limit is 10kg and the sum of the measurements should be at most 35 x 25 x 55 cm (length x width x height).

It is in the carry-on baggage that you should take your documents, cash, medication, keys, electronic devices, (such as cell phone, camera, laptops, tablets, etc.). That is, anything that is fragile, important or valuable. Azul is not liable for loss or damage if these items are checked with baggage.

When you take backpacks, purses and small bags with you, it’s your responsibility to keep them safe. For that reason, always pay attention so that no one touches your belongings without your permission.

Magnetic Objects:

They are considered dangerous goods due to their influence in some aircraft equipment, putting air traffic at risk. The most common magnetic material in the luggage are the speakers present in sound equipment, amplifiers or speakers. In this way Azul will limit the transport as carry-on or checked baggage the equipment for which the sum of measures (Length + Width + Height) does not exceed 95cm and is limited to one piece of equipment per passenger. Equipment that exceeds the sum of the above measures should be directed to the Cargo sector.

Attention: Information about Hoverboards

We are unable to transport this type of equipment, due to air transportation security restrictions. Restrictions are valid for both domestic and international flights.

You can check extra luggage for an additional cost through our digital channels or at the airport check-in counter. However, please note, if the weight of each piece of luggage exceeds 23 kg or the maximum dimensions allowed of 158 cm (sum of all sides), a flat fee will be charged for excess luggage.

It is very close to your flight so you can only buy baggage directly at the airport.
