With the aim of bringing Brazil’s far-flung regions closer together, Trip Linhas Aéreas was founded in March 1998 and within a few years it became one of the leading airlines in the country by making air transportation to many of the country’s cities more efficient.
In no time, TRIP Linhas Aéreas S.A. became the largest regional airline in Latin America. Founded in 1998, it was initially jointly controlled by the Caprioli and Águia Branca groups, whose traditions and histories are an integral part of passenger transportation in Brazil.
In 2009, little more than ten years after its foundation, Trip was serving approximately 80 Brazilian cities with scheduled flights. In all, it operates four aircraft models, totaling 58 airplanes: 17 ATR-42, 20 ATR-72, 9 Embraer 175 and 12 Embraer 190. Among its most popular destinations are Natal (RN) and Fernando de Noronha (PE).
